Josephine and Austin tie the knot on a humid August day near Cleveland

On a mid-August afternoon, with the humidity billowing into the clouds above Orchid House Winery in Aurora, OH – about 30 miles southwest of Cleveland – Josephine and Austin’s families and friends gathered to celebrate their wedding day.

This wedding was special for me as both a photographer and a friend. I had the great fortune of befriending Josephine’s mother, and photographing her wedding years earlier. This day was personal and amazing.

The Day was in the Details

The Orchid House Winery sits in a deceptively peaceful spot of land, with modern and airy architecture, impeccably designed florals and whimsically placed amenities that catch your eye at every turn without overwhelming you. The outdoor event area, and surrounding greenery is private and lush, with surprising touches of natural art. J and A took advantage of every square foot of the venue.

When the rain decided to let loose, the ceremony was over, their reception had begun, and J and A were celebrating their love, and the love of their families and friends.
